ABOUT US

We're a family of four and we live in a suburban street in Christchurch, Dorset, in a smallish three bed semi with a ramshackle number of sheds, and a house FULL of instruments.

The kids are frankly far better musicians than us, but we thought we'd amuse ourselves during the corona virus pandemic (stay inside, save lives). We've been putting these on Facebook but many of our friends and family aren't on Facebook - so this is our way of staying in touch with them too. Basically, this is for my Nan.

We've been dedicating some of these songs to friends and family members as we go along. This might be for a particular reason in relation to the Corona Virus - postponing a much anticipated wedding, having your entire livelihood utterly derailed (my older sister is an Italian Translator) or all of your examinations being cancelled.

'We' are Lorna, Adam, Dylan (14) and Rufus (12). And Marshall the dog (1).

We are decidedly wonky as bands go, so, um, please, be kind in your thoughts and comments.

LOCKDOWN SONG 12: KIDS IN AMERICA

SONG WRITTEN BY: MARTY AND RICKY WILDE, PERFORMED BY KIM WILDE
CLICK HERE TO PLAY KIDS IN AMERICA
DEDICATED TO: For all the Outdoor Artists and Festivals out there, too many friends and colleagues to name check. Big love. It’s been a really tough, weird week. So we’ve not posted any videos... although we have made some for Hampshire Babies Rhyme Time and Artz + in Dorset . But we were SO ready for some joy - and therefore we recorded The Lockdown Band’s Kids In America.... (as ever, it’s so wonky, and I’m trying really hard to not grin my head off). Good Friday everyone.

BTW - and also this happened on twitter:

The sun came out today (21st March) for the first time in what felt like months. So we decided to sing this one.
